Start-Up ECBL Names Watertown Team, Unveils Logo

East Coast Baseball LeagueThe newest franchise in the start-up East Coast Baseball League will be known as the Watertown Bucks.  The team will play at Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds in Watertown (NY).  Read more here.  Thanks to John Cerone for the heads up.

    I just hope that the league finds success, but it will need a few more teams to fill in gaps left in New York state and Ontario.

      Jason, me too,but when you are recruiting players who pay $3000 a pop to play in a winter “league” (it’s just scrimmages, with 40ish players who can afford the fee) to ultimately make $500 a month for a four month season with just four teams, this is a recipe for disaster. If this league really wanted to make it, they would wait until 2016, get some sales, give teams a chance to get decent players, find local owners, etc. This looks like a classic hit and run.

    all for a league that may never throw a pitch…and the name is terrible…oh well, that place is doomed.

    I am not trying to be negative here, but animal heads on human bodies just creep me out. Thank goodness it’s not a dog head, which super creeps me out:
