PRESS RELEASE – The Iowa Cubs are installing a state-of-the-art HD video board at Principal Park in time for the 2015 season.
The video board will be 64 feet wide and 24 feet tall. It will be located in the same structure in right field which currently houses a message board, video board and advertising panels. Those video components were installed during renovations after the 2005 season.
The total cost of the project, including new HD cameras and video production equipment, is nearly $1 million.
The video board is being manufactured by Daktronics.
The Iowa Cubs’ 2015 home opener is April 17.
