PRESS RELEASE – After eight seasons, the York Revolution will make a major investment in Santander Stadium for 2015 to create new advertising opportunities and added game excitement. Inside the ballpark, the stadium will receive a major electronics upgrade with the addition of two high-definition, LED video and scoreboard displays in left-center and right-center field.
In addition, lighting will be installed on the advertising wall that rings the perimeter of the stadium, illuminating sponsor advertising signs. Outside the stadium on Brooks Robinson Plaza at George Street a high-definition LED electronic display “marquee sign” will be added to welcome fans to Santander Stadium and inform about upcoming games and events at the stadium.
This video depicts artist’s renderings of what the new technology will look like and add to the atmosphere at Santander Stadium, providing current and future York Revolution partners with ever-more effective and eye-catching advertising opportunities. Nearly 100-feet of in-park LED signage will be installed prior to opening day (Friday, April 24 vs. the Long Island Ducks at 6:30 p.m.)
While Santander Stadium has always provided a venue for businesses to reach 300,000 potential customers during a baseball season, never before has the Revolution been able to offer marketing space at this level – it is truly a “Major League” look for any business in the traditional small-town, family-friendly minor league setting.
The new LED technology will display a wide range of information: statistics, fun graphics for the crowd, animations and information on upcoming events. The new displays will quickly become a destination for the eyeballs of a two to three-hour captive audience. It will take the Santander Stadium experience to the next level for both fans and advertising partners. Plenty of opportunities are also available with the digital marquee sign on the Brooks Robinson Plaza as well.
