BlueClaws Announce Five Front Office Promotions

Lakewood BlueClaws Alternative LogoPRESS RELEASE – The Lakewood BlueClaws, South Atlantic League affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, have announced the promotions of five full-time staff members within their front office. Bernadette Miller has been named Chief Financial Officer while Chris Tafrow has been named Senior Vice President of Business Operations. Zack Rosenberg, Jim McNamara, and Steve Farago have all been named as a club Vice President.

“The BlueClaws have had, for the duration of our existence, one of the best staffs in all of Minor League Baseball,” said Team President Joe Finley. “These five have proven to be dedicated to the BlueClaws and to serving our loyal fans. They are well deserving of these promotions.”

Lakewood BlueClaws Announce PromotionsBernadette Miller has been named Chief Financial Officer. In her role as CFO, Bernadette is responsible for all facets of the BlueClaws accounting, payroll, and audit functions. Bernadette has spent 14 years in the professional baseball industry while also serving in the television industry. Bernadette is a graduate of Baker College and resides in Point Pleasant Beach.

Chris Tafrow has been named the club’s Senior Vice President of Business Operations. Tafrow, who has been with the BlueClaws for all but one of their 14 seasons, will help oversee the business side, including the Food & Beverage Department, production and promotions, while also contributing to the team’s sponsorship sales efforts. A graduate of Seton Hall University, he resides in Hazlet.

Zack Rosenberg has been named the club’s Vice President of Corporate Sales & Sponsorships and will oversee everything related to the many BlueClaws corporate partners. He will enter his 10th season with the BlueClaws, a tenure split by a stint with Octagon Athletes and Personalities. He is on the Board of Directors of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and is a graduate of The College of William & Mary. Rosenberg resides in Belmar.

Jim McNamara has been named the club’s Vice President of Ticket Sales and will continue to oversee the BlueClaws ticket department. He will enter his 12th season with the BlueClaws and has previously served as a Group Sales Manager, as the Director of Group Sales, and as the Assistant General Manager of Ticket Sales. McNamara is also on the Board of Directors of the Brookdale Community College Foundation. He is a graduate of Springfield College and currently resides in Belmar.

Steve Farago has been named the club’s Vice President of Baseball Operations and Special Events. In addition to being the primary liaison between the BlueClaws and Phillies for all baseball-related matters, Farago is in charge of all non-baseball events at FirstEnergy Park. The BlueClaws host a wide variety of events, which in 2014 included the Jersey Shore Wine Festival, the BrewFest at the Ballpark beer festival, and the Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo, plus many amateur games, corporate picnics, and more. He has been with the BlueClaws since 2006 and is a graduate of Towson University. Farago resides in Brick.

Adam Lorber, a 15-year veteran of professional baseball, was named Chief Revenue and Operating Officer last week.

The BlueClaws are the Jersey Shore’s top stop for affordable, family entertainment. They have led the South Atlantic League and New Jersey in attendance in all 14 years of existence and in August became the fastest team in league and state history to reach the 6-million fan milestone.
