Brewers Exploring Spring Training Options

Milwaukee Brewers LogoThe Milwaukee Brewers currently train in Phoenix at the Maryvale Baseball Park, but the team is reportedly exploring options for new digs, including the Vistancia development in Peoria, or possibly working with the Gila River Indian Community and Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation on a ballpark deal.  Read more here.

    Agree, been to Maryvale many times, it’s one of the best parks in the circuit, with a great minor league campus attached. Very fan-friendly and a great place to watch a game, seems to be a very good setup for players as well. It’s not in a “high dollar” neighborhood but that doesn’t keep people away. Can’t imagine anyone paying for a new park in Arizona with the tax money drying up either.

    The Brewers are vagabonds. They have a stadium built in Chandler in 1986 and decide it’s obsolete and decide they will need to have a new one in Maryvale, which is built in time for the 1998 Spring Training Season. Now in 2014. they want a New park again.. I hope any new potential city will look at their track record and pass on their whims. There is nothing wrong w/ Maryvale Park.
