Cino was there with his Toms River Little League team that won the New Jersey State Little League Championship earlier this year. The catcher on the team, Cino ironically wears number six. Cino and his teammates were honored in a ceremony before the game.

As the 6-millionth fan, Cino wins an assortment of prizes, including 2015 season tickets, a BlueClaws team-signed item, a BlueClaws jersey numbered 6 with “Million” on the back, and a special FirstEnergy Park replica stadium seat.

“When we got close they said it was either my friend in front of me, or me,” said Cino. “It’s awesome. I never expected this to happen. It’s an exciting moment.”

Said Toms River coach Pete Avellone: “He’s number 6. That’s his uniform and he’s the six-millionth fan. It’s amazing.”

The BlueClaws, with a crowd on Sunday of 6,139, have drawn 371 crowds of at least 6,000 fans, including 25 this year, in their 14 seasons of play.

Seven-year old Justin Singer of Freehold became the team’s 5-millionth fan on June 15th, 2012. He joined Matthew Currie of Toms River (4-millionth fan, August 24, 2009), Lou Ameika of Lakewood (3-millionth fan, July 16, 2007), Al Spinney of Manahawkin (2-millionth fan, June 22, 2005) and Sean Morales of Jackson (1-millionth fan, April 26, 2003) on the list of milestone BlueClaws fans.

The BlueClaws are the Jersey Shore’s top stop for affordable, family entertainment. They have led New Jersey and the South Atlantic League in attendance each year since their 2001 inception.

The 2014 home season finishes on Thursday. 2015 season tickets and mini plans are currently on sale by calling 732-901-7000 option 3.
