PRESS RELEASE – The Joe and the annual Ballpark Festival of Beers have been synonymous with Lowcountry fun for more than a decade. The festival, presented by The Kickin’ Chicken, will continue to offer some of the finest beers on earth while also capturing the enthusiasm for local food trucks.
This year attendees can sample more than 100 varieties of beer including American and international ales, stouts, lagers, pilsners and specialty brews to quench the taste buds of every die-hard beer enthusiast at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park on Saturday, August 23 from 6-9 pm. This is a 21 and over event only.
The Ballpark Festival of Beers will feature live music by The Blue Plantation Band and Midnight City, food trucks, corn hole and beer sampling.

The Joe will also have an array of delicious food available to soak up the suds which are sure to satisfy the palates of each and every fan. Food trucks will provide a variety of delicacies and the list of trucks include The Kickin’ Chicken, Hello My Name is BBQ, Roti Rolls, Cast Iron and the Creole Food Truck.
With the ever-growing popularity of the RiverDogs Beer Shakes, there will also be a chance for beer-lovers to submit their own recipe for a new beer shake flavor. Contestants will select one beer, one ice cream flavor and one topping for a chance to win four tickets to the Ballpark Festival of Beers.
