PRESS RELEASE – Did you miss out on the instant-cult classic Sharknado last summer, or are you just looking to refresh your memory before Sharknado 2: The Second One premieres on July 30 at 9/8c on Syfy? Well, the Camden Riversharks have you covered!
After their game on Saturday, July 26th, the Riversharks will host a special screening of Sharknado on their videoboard, and fans will be given access onto the outfield to watch the movie that has everyone still talking. The screening will begin immediately after the fireworks show and Kids Run the Bases presented by Silver Diner.
Syfy and the Riversharks will collaborate with special Sharknado promotions throughout the game, as well, including giveaways and a Sharknado t-shirt toss. Fans will also have the opportunity to take pictures in front of a special Sharknado-themed green screen!
Need a synopsis of the film? Sharknado tells the story of a freak twister that scoops up man-eating sharks from the Pacific and flings them at an unprepared Los Angeles. Starring Ian Ziering (Beverly Hills 90210) and Tara Reid (American Pie).
Sharknado received a rating of ages 15 and up for their made for television movie.
