PRESS RELEASE – The Green Bay Bullfrogs, in cooperation with Pagel’s Ponderosa Dairy, will host Salute Ag Night with the Bullfrogs at Joannes Stadium on Thursday, June 26th, for the Bullfrogs game against the Madison Mallards.
The Bullfrogs will be wearing special cowhide uniforms for that night’s game. The uniforms will be available for fans to win through a silent auction. The auction starts before the game and will end after the seventh inning. Fans who win a player’s jersey, can head over by the first base side of the field after the game to have the player sign the jersey for them.
Fans can also bid on the jerseys online by emailing the player’s jersey and their bid to info@greenbaybullfrogs.com. The bidding for each jersey starts at $50.
The non-profit organization of the night will be the Kewaunee food pantry. All proceeds from the jersey auction will go towards the Kewaunee food pantry. Fans can also bring in non-perishable canned goods to donate, and those who do so will receive a free Bullfrogs hat.
Along with the cowhide uniforms, Joannes Stadium will have a farm-like facelift for the game. There will be many farm related items around the stadium, such as hay bales, steel milk jugs, and even an electric cow, Buttercup, who fans can come and milk. Ron’s Cheese will also have a booth set up for fans to sample some of their products.
On-field promotions during the game will also tie into the agriculture theme, while country music will be played all throughout the night on the stadium speakers. In-game promotions will include a hay bale tossing challenge, as well as a milk jug carrying contest.
Alice in Dairyland will also be on hand to visit with fans and to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
