Quakes Awarded 2015 California-Carolina League All-Star Game

Rancho Cucamonga QuakesPRESS RELEASE – The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and the California League are proud to announce that on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, the California-Carolina League All-Star Game will come to LoanMart Field, marking the third time Rancho Cucamonga has hosted this inter-league All-Star event.

Rancho Cucamonga Quakes 2015 All-Star Game“We are very excited to have the opportunity to bring the All-Star Game back to Rancho Cucamonga for the first time since 2003,” said Quakes general manager Grant Riddle. “Over the past four seasons, LoanMart Field has seen a few major renovations, which makes us equally excited to showcase the ballpark, as well as the city of Rancho Cucamonga and all it has to offer.”

Rancho Cucamonga played host to the inaugural California-Carolina League All-Star Game in 1996 – a game that saw a 2-2 tie between the two squads – and then hosted the event again in 2003, when the Carolina League prevailed, 5-3.

“The Quakes and the City of Rancho Cucamonga have a rich history of working together for the greater good of our community,” said Rancho Cucamonga City Manager John Gillison. “We are extremely proud of the top-notch stadium and impeccable field that are not only a hallmark standard for both the city and the Quakes, but for the California League as well.”

The 2015 California-Carolina League All-Star Game will be the second major professional baseball event hosted at LoanMart Field in the past three seasons. In March 2013, the Quakes hosted the Los Angeles Dodgers in an exhibition game before a sell-out crowd of 5,508.

“The Quakes have proven themselves to be outstanding leaders and they have provided first-class facilities – newly remodeled clubhouses, batting cage, playing surface, and signage – all of which will enhance the 2015 All-Star Game,” said Dodgers Vice President, Player Development DeJon Watson.

Ticket availability for the 2015 California-Carolina League All-Star Game and the surrounding festivities will be announced at a later date.

The 2014 Carolina-California League All-Star Game is set for tonight at 4:05 p.m. PST in Wilmington, DE, and will feature Quakes shortstop Corey Seager and first baseman Chris Jacobs on the California League squad.

Following the All-Star break, the Quakes will return home to LoanMart Field this Thursday, June 19, to take on the Inland Empire 66ers on Slater’s 50/50 Thirsty Thursday! Call (909) 481-5000 or visit http://www.rcquakes.com for ticket information. Go Quakes!
