PRESS RELEASE – The Brazos Valley Bombers held a press conference today where owner Uri Geva, TCL coach of the year Curt Dixon and returning players G.R. Hinsley, Blake Kopetsky, Ford Moore, addressed the media regarding the team’s promotional schedule and upcoming season.
The Bombers were also excited to announce the renaming of their ballpark to “Cellucor Field” after partnering with local Inc. 5000 nutrition company Woodbolt International.

“The national champions are excited to align themselves with a company whose goal is to promote health and wellness worldwide,” Geva said.
Woodbolt International will be joining Brazos Bingo, Sterling Auto Group and Program Insurance Group as the franchise partners for the Bombers’ 2014 season.
The trio of Bombers present at the event all have ties to the Bryan-College Station area. Hinsley, a junior at Texas A&M, set the Texas Collegiate League RBI record with the Bombers in 2013 en route to the Bombers’ TCL Championship. Kopetsky, a native of Bryan and Rudder High School alum, will spend his second summer in a row with the Bombers after being named the TCL Co-Freshman of the year in 2013. Kopetsky will also be joining Hinsley at Texas A&M in the fall. Moore, who graduated from A&M Consolidated High School, joined the Bombers late last season and posted a .415 batting average during the Bombers’ stretch run.
The Bombers nightly promotional schedule includes the return of fan favorite Thirsty Thursdays. Thursdays will be enhanced this season with the addition of dollar margaritas to complement the dollar beers and sodas that fans have come to love thanks to Western Beverages. Kids Free Saturday returns for a third consecutive year thanks to Chicken Express, ensuring weekends will continue to have affordable family fun in the Brazos Valley. Weenie Wednesdays, with dollar hot dogs all game, will be the new theme on Wednesday nights at Cellucor Field, presented by Fedstar Credit Union.
The Bombers also released their nightly themes including two national traveling acts in Reggy the Purple Party Dude on June 12, and the Sweet Right Brothers on July 25 thanks to Burger King.
The final bang of the press conference was the announcement that the Bombers will host more extended post game firework shows in the month of June than any other minor league team in Texas. June 6 will kick off the fun followed by fireworks shows on June 13, June 20 and June 28. The fireworks extravaganzas would not be possible without the Bombers’ partnerships with the George Bush Presidential Library, Fedstar Credit Union, and the Hilton College Station.
The Bombers start their season on the road against the Acadiana Cane Cutters on May 29th. Opening day is June 3rd versus the Acadiana Cane Cutters.
