PRESS RELEASE – Twenty-three NFL players will interview Toledo Mud Hens and Toledo Walleye general manager Joe Napoli in a mock press conference on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, as part of its NFL Sports Journalism & Communications Boot Camp at Bowling Green State University.

RESTRICTIONS: Since this is a teaching exercise for the players, media is invited to take still photos and shoot b-roll (no audio) of the press conference. Media can interview NFL players at 6:45 in the BirdCage.

This is the second year the boot camp has been offerered as one of several programs developed by NFL Player Engagement to prepare current and former players for post-NFL careers.
The four-day progam focuses on improving each player’s writing skills for newspaper, radio and the expanding digital media industry. Panelists and facilitators for the bootcamp include NFL Legend-turned journalist Bucky Brooks of NFL.com, Peter King of Sports Illustrated, and NFL Legend and CBS commentator Solomon Wilcots. BGSU School of Media and Communications and the Sport Management program are hosting the program.
