A proposal to increase the recreation millage in Alexandria (LA) is on next month’s ballot. A draft of the recreation millage reportedly talks about converting historic Bringhurst Field into a lazy river and more parking for a zoo expansion, but a grassroots Facebook group created Friday called “Save Bringhurst Field” wants to save the ballpark. The city says the future of Bringhurst has not been determined. Read more here.
