D.C. Grays to Play at Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy

DC_Grays_Logo_01PRESS RELEASE – Beginning in June 2014 the DC Grays will be playing their home games at the brand-new, state-of-the-art Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy at Fort DuPont.

After two years hosting their home games at Hoy Field at Gallaudet University, the Grays will now be playing at the showcase Main Field at the Academy, which features the high-quality Astro Turf, a press box, stadium seating, restrooms, a concessions stand, and lighting for summer evening baseball. The Academy also features two indoor batting cages, as well as an indoor pitching mound.

The Academy is already becoming a hotbed of local baseball activity. Gonzaga High School and Anacostia High School currently use the Academy as their home field for the spring, and in the summer the DC Grays will be bringing championship-level summer college baseball to DC baseball fans.

The Academy is located in Ward 7′s Fort DuPont Park on land that was secured through the cooperation of the DC and Federal governments. The Academy has ample parking in a secure lot. Parking and admission is free and open to the public.

The address of the Academy is 3675 Ely Place SE, Washington, DC 20019. The Academy is adjacent to the Fort DuPont Ice Arena.
