PRESS RELEASE – Who else but the Charleston RiverDogs would “guarantee” a victory on Wednesday nights? Put simply, if the RiverDogs don’t win on Wednesday night games at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park, the club will honor your ticket for free admission to the next Wednesday home game. All you have to do is hold on to your ticket.
And in traditional RiverDogs fashion, there’s more than just a guarantee.
Wednesday games at The Joe will be MeTV Senior Nights, presented by HealthSouth. All seniors can purchase special $5 tickets for Wednesday games, and all seniors that enter the gates before 7pm will receive a voucher for a free hot dog, a bag of chips and a fountain drink. But, it’s not only a good day to be early for seniors. All fans will be able to purchase a hot dog, chips and a fountain drink for only $7 before 7pm, a significant savings than when purchased any other time.
As far as Thursdays are concerned, one of the most looked-forward to happy hours in the Lowcountry returns with the crowd-pleasing Budweiser Thirsty Thursday. Riley Park will continue to be the place to start your weekend with tunes provided by DJ Natty Heavy and $1 beers in the Ashley View Pub above the third base line.
“Can we really ‘guarantee’ a win on Wednesday nights?” questions General Manager Dave Echols. “Indeed we can. We can’t promise that the team will win on the scoreboard that night. But if we don’t, fans can use that ticket for the next Wednesday’s game. It’s a guaranteed win for the fan. Also, Budweiser Thirsty Thursdays will remain one of the most popular and affordable places to be and be seen anywhere in Charleston on a warm summer night. We’re excited for our midweek games this season.”
Tickets are now on sale for the RiverDogs’ 2014 season. The home portion of the schedule begins April 7 with a seven-game homestand that features the rival Greenville Drive and Augusta GreenJackets.
