Connecticut Tigers Unveil 20th Anniversary Logo

Connecticut Tigers LogoPRESS RELEASE – The Connecticut Tigers are proud to unveil the Dodd Stadium 20th anniversary season logo and announce plans for a celebration of the history of Minor League Baseball in Norwich this coming summer.

The celebration will kick off on Thursday, July 10th and span over twenty home game dates, culminating with the annual Norwich Navigators night on Friday, August 22nd as the Tigers take on the Hudson Valley Renegades. A full schedule of events will be released prior to the start of the season, highlighted by guest appearances, limited edition giveaway items, and more.

“We are very excited to celebrate the history of Minor League Baseball here at Dodd Stadium this coming season. There are nineteen years worth of memories created here at the ballpark and we look forward to celebrating them all while creating a truly memorable twentieth season,” said Tigers Vice President & General Manager Eric Knighton. “As we enter our fifth season in Norwich we look forward to having the Connecticut Tigers brand evolve and grow while celebrating the past of a gorgeous facility.”

The anniversary logo depicts the front entrance to Dodd Stadium and its iconic façade proudly displaying the Detroit Tigers and Connecticut Tigers “Old English” marks. “It’s always fun to turn into the parking lot at Dodd Stadium and have the front of the stadium appear in front of you,” said Knighton. “The facade serves as the lasting image of the stadium and made sense as the focal point for our logo.”

The logo was brought to life at Brandiose in San Diego, where they make teams famous by celebrating their brand stories. Partners Jason and Casey previously worked with the Tigers to create the 2013 New York-Penn League All-Star Celebration logo to great success.

“Dodd Stadium is one of the great destinations in all of Minor League Baseball,” said Brandiose’s Jason Klein. “Our goal was to capture the excitement of Dodd Stadium’s grand entrance, and communicate it through the look and feel of the celebration.”

The Connecticut Tigers are the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play a 76 game schedule that runs from mid June through early September. 2014 season tickets, mini plans, and team merchandise are now on sale! The front office and ticket office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be accessed in person or by calling 860-887-7962.
