MiLB President Applies Soft Ballpark Pressure in Beloit

Beloit Snappers LogoMinor League Baseball President Pat O’Conner was in Beloit (WI) Wednesday for the Single-A Beloit Snappers’ (Midwest League) Hot Stove Banquet.  During his visit, O’Conner said Beloit must decide its baseball future in the next few years as it relates to procuring a new or updated facility for the franchise.  Read more here.

    I live in Chicago and really like going to games in Beloit (it’s the second closes MWL team after Kane County.) But they really need to do something regarding the team. I don’t know if building a new stadium is worth it when your attendance averages below 1,000 almost every season. If nothing is done regarding a facility, they will probably see a revolving door of Major League affiliates.
