Edinburg Rejects Signing New Lease with United League’s Roadrunners

Edinburg Roadrunners LogoThe Edinburg (TX) City Council on Tuesday rejected a new lease agreement with the indy pro Edinburg Roadrunners (United League Baseball), amid discussions with the University of Texas System about the future of Edinburg Baseball Stadium.  The ULB’s McAllen Thunder also played at the ballpark.  Read more here.

    On the Winter League page they have listed Draft Picks for the 4 teams plus Team 5 TBD and Team 6 TBD. The ULB site has logo’s for the McAllen Thunder and the Mexico Paisanos as 5th and 6th. No Formal announcements though.

    It’s still early, check back in May about two weeks before the season starts.

    Is this league even playing this year? I can’t find any 2014 schedule.
