PRESS RELEASE – The Inland Empire 66ers look to build upon the momentum generated during the 2013 season when the organization won the California League Championship and the league’s award for excellence in marketing and promotions. A loaded 2014 promotions schedule features a plethora of giveaways, theme nights, and many more surprises that will help the 66ers continue the tradition of fun, family entertainment.
The “Best Fireworks Show in the Inland Empire” returns July 4th and because it’s been such a hit, the Independence Day fireworks sequel has been added for July 5th. In all, eleven fireworks shows are scheduled and at least two each month can be viewed post-game.
Celebrity sightings at San Manuel Stadium will become more frequent in 2014 with a Tim Salmon autograph signing and bobblehead giveaway on Thursday, May 22nd against the rival Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. On Thursday, August 14th “Mountain Man” from the A&E reality show Duck Dynasty will be signing autographs and taking pictures with fans as well.
The celebration from last season’s California League Championship continues into opening weekend when replica championship rings are to be handed out. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim giveaways fill the promotions schedule eight times in 2014 including a Mike Trout bobblehead Saturday, April 19th, an Albert Pujols Fleece Blanket on Saturday, May 3rd, and a Josh Hamilton bobblehead on Saturday, June 28th.
Fan favorite theme nights are expanded for this year’s promotions schedule and return with staples such as Zombie Apocalypse Night on Thursday, June 12th, and Bacon Appreciation Night on July 31st when an expanded menu full of bacon inspired treats are served at San Manuel Stadium. In addition the team will feature new theme nights such as Beat the Quakes Night on May 1st where fans can expect the I-10 rivalry to heat up even more on when the team hands out Quakes branded toilet paper.

Popular nightly promotions returning include: 50 Cent Friday presented by Toyota and Scion of Redlands with 50 cent hot dogs and $2.50 domestic beers and sodas, Thirsty Thursday brought to you by Hanger 24 Craft Brewery featuring $4 Hanger 24 pints and $2 domestic beer and soda, $2 Tuesdays where hot dogs, soda, popcorn, ice cream sandwiches, tickets, and parking are all $2, and Man’s Best Friend Monday where you can enjoy the game in the lawn section with your dog(s).
The road to winning back-to-back California League Championships begins when they visit the High Desert Mavericks on Thursday, April 3rd. The 66ers open at home a week later on Thursday, April 10th when they welcome the Mavericks to San Manuel Stadium.
