Blue Sox to Host 2014 NECBL All-Star Game, Unveil Logo

Holyoke Blue Sox New LogoPRESS RELEASE – The Holyoke Blue Sox will host the 2014 NECBL All-Star Game on Sunday, July 20, and in addition the team unveiled the logo it will use for the event, it was announced today by Blue Sox Owner and President Clark Eckhoff.

“The entire Pioneer Valley will benefit from the economic impact of having this major event at Mackenzie Stadium,” Eckhoff said. “The influx of fans, media, and Major League staffers will all be able to take advantage of local restaurants, sights, and hotels, particularly our valued sponsors.”

Holyoke Blue Sox All-Star Game LogoThe event will include the game itself, and also a Home Run Derby, a 60-Yard Dash, and an Accuracy Throwing Competition.

“The All Star Game is a really exciting opportunity not only for us as an organization, but for the region as a whole,” said Blue Sox General Manager Hunter Golden. “The game is one of the premier prospect showcases in the country and is an event that fans and baseball professionals alike come to see. It’ll be a great showcase for our region and our community to have some of the very best young players in the world putting their talents on display for Major League Teams right here in our own back yard.”

The logo for the 2014 NECBL All-Star Game was designed by Skye Dillon of Skye Design Studios, which is “a brand identity and design firm located in the greater New York City area” and has included clients such as “Major League Baseball, the NBA, NHL, and Madison Square Garden.”

“Skye is one of the most exciting and talented young designers out there, and to be able to have him design the All-Star Game logo is a home run,” Eckhoff said.
