Augusta Green Jackets LogoPRESS RELEASE – The Augusta GreenJackets announce Tom Denlinger as their new General Manager. Denlinger was hired from the Richmond (VA) Flying Squirrels Baseball Club where he served as their Assistant General Manager. The Richmond team is the Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants and home to many former Augusta GreenJackets players as they travel through the Giants farm system.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to join the Augusta GreenJackets organization. This is a great sports community and a special time for baseball in the CSRA as we begin a new era. I look forward to becoming integrated in the community and working with the staff at continuing to provide affordable family fun. I can’t wait for Opening Day April 3rd!”, said Denlinger.

Denlinger originally hails from Pennsylvania and is entering his 13th season in baseball with previous stops with the Daytona Cubs, Delmarva Shorebirds and Reading Phillies organization.

“We are thrilled about Tom joining our organization. Finding the right fit for the team as we enter this new and exciting era of GreenJackets Baseball was mission one. Tom will be instrumental to our transition from Lake Olmstead to North Augusta and I look forward to welcoming him to Augusta”, said Jeff Eiseman, President of the GreenJackets.

Denlinger is the team’s third General Manager since 2003, replacing Bob Flannery who left to become the Director of Sales for Nelligan Sports’ University of Massachusetts (Flannery’s Alma Mater) property this fall. The GreenJackets are also proud to announce the promotion of Brian Marshall from Director of Operations to Assistant General Manager. Marshall has been with the club since 2009.

2014 Season Seat Plans and Holiday Packs are on-sale by calling the GreenJackets at (706) 736-7889.
