Nashua Silver Knights Promotional Award“We are very excited to win the FCBL Organizational Promotional Award,” said Nashua Silver Knights President Tim Bawmann. “It was a complete team effort from our front office to our interns to all of our workers to our coaching staff and players. Everyone contributed. We work very hard as an organization and take a tremendous amount of pride in our promotions to entertain our fans. This is a great honor for us.”

The Silver Knights featured promotions every home game at Holman Stadium. The most popular nightly promotion was when the Silver Knights players would dance to “Love is Gone” out on the field to the delight of all the fans.

Other promotional highlights included many fun appearances including Leprechaun Wrestling, former Boston Celtics forward Brian Scalabrine on “Put Scal to Work Night”, Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Champion Daniel Paille and Nashua native Mike O’Malley on his bobble head night.

The Silver Knights did a special “Boston Strong Night” with Boston Marathon icons Rick & Dick Hoyt with their own bobble head.

Every Friday home game featured Fireworks. In celebration of Holman Stadium’s 75th Anniversary the Silver Knights wore special uniforms every Saturday home game of previous teams who played at Holman Stadium from the Nashua Dodger to the Nashua Pride.

Post-Game on Father’s Day, the Silver Knights dropped 1,000 one dollar bills out of a helicopter hovering over second base where 20 lucky dads had the chance to run around and collect as much money as possible.

“The Knights front office staff has really put together a winning situation for everyone involved,” said FCBL commissioner Chris Hall. “The minor league experience that they are offering the fans of Nashua is superb and it is a great experience every time I am in town. The staff of the Silver Knights deserve this award for their hard work and dedication to not only their fans but the entire city of Nashua.”

The Silver Knights are the 2011 and 2012 Champions of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League of New England. For more information about the team and league please contact Jon Goode at
