PRESS RELEASE – In continuing their front office plans and alignment for the upcoming 2014 season, the Drive’s ninth year in Downtown Greenville at award-winning Fluor Field, the organization announced the hiring of Emily Walker as Senior Director, Business Development. In this position, Walker will be part of the Drive’s senior leadership team with responsibilities to develop and expand corporate partnerships, while managing a number of the organization’s current key relationships.
Drive Co-Owner and President, Craig Brown, commented on Walker’s hiring, saying, “Emily has a proven track record of more than 20 years of developing and managing strategic partnerships. The Greenville Drive is committed to providing uniquely meaningful support to our business and community partners as we contribute to their success and the Upstate’s continued prosperity. Emily’s wealth of knowledge, experience, and attention to detail is a welcomed asset to our organization as we move forward to that end.”
Walker comes to the Drive after having spent the previous 12 years with Network Tours in Greenville, and Nashville, Tennessee. During her tenure there, her major functions included identifying opportunities for growth and the coordination of all aspects of promotion and marketing. This included development of marketing plans, advertising copy, as well as overseeing the productions of public relations and collateral materials. Walker also ensured proper communication with all label needs to musical artists and their management.
Prior to her time with Network Tours, Walker spent five years as an Account Manager with the Winston-Salem Journal, where she specialized in preparation and implementation of proposals, speculative advertising campaigns and database marketing.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, Walker also served as an Account Executive in her alma mater’s Athletic Department, overseeing corporate partners and the implementation of their promotions during each athletic season.

The Greenville Drive, the South Atlantic League affiliate of the 2013 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox, just completed its 8th season at award-winning Fluor Field, located in Downtown Greenville. Since 2006, more than 400,000 fans a year have been welcomed to Fluor Field for both Drive games and additional community events.
