School Board Approves Financing for North Augusta Project

Augusta Green Jackets LogoThe Aiken County (SC) School Board voted 7-2 Tuesday night to approve the district’s portion of TIF financing needed for Project Jackson, which incorporates a new baseball stadium for the Single-A Augusta GreenJackets (South Atlantic League).  It was agreed that none of the district’s financing would go toward the baseball portion of the development.  Read more here.
