PRESS RELEASE – Swing Juice, a hybrid, an all natural energy drink based locally in Rhode Island, has partnered with the New England Collegiate Baseball League for the 2013 summer baseball season.
“This relationship is an absolute homerun for us” said Swing Juice founder and owner Jon Mason of Lincoln. “The NECBL is one of the most recognized summer baseball programs in the country. Partnering with the NECBL this summer provides Swing Juice a great opportunity to expand our footprint among top athletes.”
Developed by Mason, an avid golfer and former Division I collegiate baseball player, Swing Juice was created to be a great tasting premium energy drink choice for athletes. Swing Juice is comprised of a specific blend of ingredients designed to enhance an athlete’s concentration, stamina and energy prior to and during competition. The bottled drink comes in a variety of flavors including Orange Mango, Pomegranate Berry and Diet Lemon Tea and available at Shell Gas Convenience Store locations throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.
“The NECBL is pleased to be working with Swing Juice during our 20th season. We look forward having some of the country’s most talented collegiate baseball players drinking Swing Juice to stay hydrated throughout the course of their 44-game summer season as they compete in scenic communities throughout New England and New York,” said NECBL Commissioner Sean McGrath.
Recently, Swing Juice was named the Official Performance Beverage of the Ocean State Waves, a new team based in Rhode Island. The Ocean State Waves, Plymouth Pilgrims and Saratoga Brigade are the latest additions to the NECBL. The Newport Gulls, Danbury Westerners, Mystic Schooners, New Bedford Bay Sox, Keene Swamp Bats, North Adams SteepleCats, Sanford Mainers, Laconia Muskrats, Holyoke Blue Sox, and Vermont Mountaineer round out the league.
The NECBL is a Major League Baseball sponsored summer collegiate baseball league designed to enhance the quality of life of its communities by providing them outstanding baseball at an affordable price. Teams are located in scenic communities in every New England state and New York and provide summer long family entertainment at affordable prices. In the NECBL, summer collegiate baseball has become the common denominator that cuts across the social, economic and generational divides and brings our region and our communities together. Last year over 300,000 fans visited our ballparks or followed our season online.
Nearly 100 NECBL alumni have made the Major Leagues and over 30 former players have been on Major League 25-man rosters this season. Prominent alumni include 2009 Rookie of the Year Andrew Bailey, two time American League stolen base runner-up Rajai Davis, 2009 Silver Slugger winner Andre Ethier, five-time All-Star Joe Nathan and Washington Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg.
