Not a big surprise here with 81 home dates, but let’s roll with it. With an attendance increase from 2,946,949 in 2011 to 3,460,280 in 2012, Rangers Ballpark, home of the Texas Rangers, once again came out on top in attendance over other venues in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro, including the Will Rogers Memorial Center (Fort Worth Livestock Show & Rodeo and other events), Cowboys Stadium (NFL’s Dallas Cowboys), American Airlines Center (NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and NHL’s Dallas Stars), and FC Dallas Stadium (MLS’s FC Dallas). Rangers Ballpark Tops in Area Attendance

Kinda pointless really… 81 baseball games should have more people over 8 football games, or 41 NBA / NHL games.
I believe they are including other events as well. You will notice that the facility that comes in at #2 isn’t even the home of a major sports team. I guess the Rangers get kudos for the nice jump from the previous year. That said, half the MLB teams were under 2.4 million last season, which put them pretty close to the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth with 2.3 million. In fact, 14 teams were under this amount.
