“We are excited to begin this new professional baseball endeavor in Las Cruces and we are very happy to announce that the name was voted on through our Facebook page by the Las Cruces community. A name that we can all be proud to support and promote throughout Las Cruces as well as the larger professional baseball community throughout the country. 
We are very proud of the logo as well as the people that we are bringing into the organization. We feel that this type of positive exposure can help to brand Las Cruces, New Mexico as a baseball destination throughout the baseball world,” says AWBL CEO Michael Cummings. “We have some exciting things to bring to Las Cruces and will be making further announcements shortly,” Cummings adds.

Pretty horrible logo. And I noticed by going to the AWBL’s site that the league also has a pretty bad logo too…with a portion, the circle with wheat or whatever, directly lifted from the Milwaukee Brewers’ logo. So I guess you can’t expect anything good (branding-wise, at least) to come from a league that obviously doesn’t value design enough to have a unique logo of their own.
