RedWolves Add Smallwood to Front Office

Florence Red Wolves LogoPRESS RELEASE – The Florence RedWolves are excited to announce that Kelly Smallwood has been hired as the organization’s Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Media Relations. Kelly will be responsible for the team’s marketing efforts, including in-game promotions, corporate sponsorships, and group outings. Her duties also will include souvenirs and apparel, as well as social media.

Kevin Barth, owner of the RedWolves said, “For basically a decade now, it has been only our General Manager, Jamie Young, and my family running the team. With the move to the new stadium, and the significantly increased community interest in our team, adding someone like Kelly is the logical next step. She is very passionate about the game of baseball, and certainly has the skills, credentials and experience to help take our organization to new heights.”

Kelly graduated from N.C. State University in 2009 with a degree in Sport Management. Her past work experience includes working with the City of Goodyear Ballpark during the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians spring training. She also worked with Zizzy the mascot and has been a mascot herself. “I am so excited to be a member of the RedWolves family. It is going to be such a great season and I can’t wait to be a part of it” exclaimed Kelly when asked about her new position. Kelly is married to Jeremy Smallwood, who is currently deployed in Afghanistan as an F-16 pilot with the U.S. Air Force.
