Expansion Saratoga Brigade to Push Ballpark Plan

Saratoga Brigade LogoThe expansion summer collegiate Saratoga Brigade (New England Collegiate Baseball League) made it official Thursday that they will be playing in Saratoga Springs (NY) starting this season.  Okay, that’s old news.  The bigger news is that the team hopes to present a plan to the city council on March 19 for a full-service baseball stadium at Veteran’s Memorial Park, which would include stadium seating, press box, corporate boxes, locker rooms for both teams, and full-service concession and bathrooms for fans.  Read more here.

    I’m sure their players will love the CONSTANT 3 to 4 hour bus trips for EVERY game. Glad they figured out the business side, they’ll need the money to pay for the travel costs. Anybody can make a ballpark proposal-getting it financed is another story.
