Omaha Storm Chasers Secondary LogoPRESS RELEASE – The nature of Minor League Baseball implies the Omaha Storm Chasers have a new look on the field every year, but this upcoming season the main way fans interact with the ballclub will have a much different look as well. Today, the Storm Chasers unveiled their new redesigned website featuring simpler navigation, increased multimedia content and easier ways for fans to connect to all the “FUN” at Werner Park this season.

The new is part of the Minor League Baseball renovation to the more than 160 team websites, the first major overhaul to MiLB sites since 2006. The main aspect of the redesign is the ability for the Storm Chasers to customize content on the home page to directly reflect the features fans want from their team’s website.

Omaha Storm Chasers New Web Design“Storm Chasers fans are going to love the new website, and our creative team has specifically chosen to highlight sections on the home page that fans have used frequently,” said Ben Tupman, Director of Creative Services for the Storm Chasers. “The easy access to content like feature stories, videos and social media will make it simple to follow the Storm Chasers from home or from their seats at Werner Park using the free Wi-Fi.”

With a more spacious design, the Storm Chasers website has a much different overall look without overwhelming visitors with content. User-friendly links featuring larger artwork and added information will help navigate fans to their desired destination. Whether it is catching up on Storm Chasers news or finding a promotion to take advantage of this season, the redesigned website is upgraded from the former layout that featured stand-alone links.

Multimedia content, most notably video and photo galleries, has been substantially upgraded on the new website providing a more in-depth look at the Storm Chasers. Video highlights from each game will now be directly accessible on the home page for those trying to catch up on the Chasers season if they miss a game. Photo galleries will feature a cleaner look making the best shots from Werner Park simpler to view and share as well with fellow fans.

The most interactive feature of the new website is the variety of ways for Storm Chasers fans to connect with the team right on the home page. The improved “Gameday” section featured at the top of the website links fans to game audio on 1180 The Zone 2 and video during the game. It will also now feature the highlighted promotion before each day’s game so fans can find out what is happening at Werner Park on any given night with ease. Storm Chasers social media is prominently featured in the new layout and allows fans to see the most recent Chasers Twitter updates while “liking” the Chasers Facebook directly from the main page.
