PRESS RELEASE – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters announced today that Jake Serwe has joined the front office as the team’s Ticket Sales and Box Office Manager. In his new role, Serwe will work with non-profit groups to create fundraising and group outing opportunities and manage the Rafters’ box office on game days.
“I’m looking forward to spending another summer in Wisconsin Rapids and working with all of the passionate Rafters fans,” said Serwe. “I anticipate a successful season on the field and at the box office.”
The 2013 season will be Serwe’s second in the Northwoods League with the Rafters, after spending last summer as an operations intern and head groundskeeper for the team. He began his career in baseball as an intern with the Omaha Storm Chasers of the Pacific Coast League in 2011. Serwe received his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in December of 2012.
Originally from Brownsville, Wisconsin, Serwe currently resides in Wisconsin Rapids. In his free time he enjoys rooting for Wisconsin sports teams and loves to go deer hunting and fishing.
