FHL to Hold All-Star Game at Historic Bowman Field, Logo Released

PRESS RELEASE – The Federal Hockey League is proud to announce that the Williamsport Outlaws will host the “1st Annual FHL All Star Classic” on Airmen’s Pond at Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport, PA.



The game will be held on Wednesday January 2nd, 2013, with the first puck being dropped at 6:05 pm. Tickets go on sale Monday November 12th at 9 am. The cost of the ticket is $15 for Adults and $12 for Children under 10. There will also be a “Mayors Welcome Luncheon” to be held that day for all the players and staff as well as members of the media and especially you the fans. The theme is “A Taste of Williamsport”. These tickets are priced at just $20, and will also be available on November 12th.

The FHL has lined up a special guest speaker for the luncheon who will be remembered by many for his role in hockey. The announcement of who it is will be announced prior to Thanksgiving.

All FHL teams at this time are attempting to put together a bus trip to the “All Star Classic”. Information will be forthcoming in the very near future. Check the FHL website along with your favorite team’s site for additional information.

The Outlaws will be competing against the FHL’s “Best of the Rest”. All FHL teams will send their top 2 forwards and top defenseman to the “All Star Classic”. The fans will get to vote for their favorite player on the FHL website starting Wednesday November 7th. The fan favorite will be added to the roster on December 16th along with all the other team players. The goalies will be picked by the All Star Coaching Staff. The All Star coaching staff will come from the team with the highest win percent as of December 16th.

The “FHL All Star Classic” will be a part of hockey history as the first professional hockey All Star Game to be played outdoors in North America. There will be a fun filled day of events starting at 10 am with a practice and culminating with a Post Game Party for both teams, staff and fans at a local establishment.
