Jana Chotivkova accepted the position of Loons Vice President of Finance this summer after spending 12 years in the public accounting sector. She most recently served as the Senior Manager at Yeo & Yeo, where she supervised auditing teams for non-profit groups of Midland and Saginaw. Jana, from the Czech Republic, majored in accounting at Northwood University and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
The Loons Director of Corporate Partnerships Emily Schafer, of Midland, has been promoted to Assistant General Manager of Corporate Partnerships and Michigan Baseball Foundation (MBF) Director of Development. In addition to her increased involvement in partnership development, Emily will also oversee all fund development and grant making initiatives of MBF, the 501(c)3 non-profit public charity that owns and operates Dow Diamond.
Eric Ramseyer, a three-year Loons employee formerly of the Loons ticket office, has accepted a position as the Corporate Partnerships Manager. In his new role, Eric will support corporate partnership clients and assist in MBF fund development and grant making initiatives.
In the Loons ticket office, Tiffany Seward has been promoted to the Assistant General Manager of Ticket Sales, and Kevin Schunk to the Director of Ticket Sales. Tara Bergeron, will take the lead in managing the team’s group venues and serve as the Director of Group Sales. Matt M. Hoffman has accepted the position of Group Sales Manager. Rachel Burton has been promoted to a full-time role as the team’s Corporate Account Executive.
New to the group sales department is Saginaw Valley State graduate Katie Wahl, of Marysville, who has been named the Group Sales Coordinator. Katie moves into her full-time role after serving as a Loons Ticket Sales Assistant during the 2012 season.
Matt C. Hoffman has accepted a full-time position with the team as the Loons Promotions Manager. He will oversee the execution of on-field promotions, working closely with the team’s summer internship program, collaborate on community-driven events and assist in other creative efforts put on by the team. Matt, a Northwood University graduate, started with the team in 2011 as a Marketing and Promotions intern and spent a short time in the ticket office before returning to his promotions roots.
The Great Lakes Loons are a seventh-year Single-A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
