Executives from the Arizona Diamondbacks were in Hermosillo (Mexico) Sunday to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Hector Espino Stadium, home of the Hermosillo Naranjeros of the Mexican Pacific Winter League, while touring the site of the new very cool $40 million stadium currently under construction. The D-Backs pitched in to help the city plan and design the new park, which will open during the 2013 Caribbean World Series in February. The D-Backs are no strangers to Hermosillo, as the team has played exhibition games at Hector Espino each year from 2008-10. Read more here.
