Biscuits Waste No Time Releasing 2013 Promo Schedule

PRESS RELEASE – The Montgomery Biscuits released their 2013 schedule today, along with an exciting promotional schedule for their tenth season featuring weekly promotions like Dollar Dog Tuesdays, Military Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays and the newest addition to the promotional-list, Freebie Fridays.

The Biscuits will kick off the 2013 season against the Birmingham Barons at 7:05 on Thursday, April 4th with the first of 20 MAX Fireworks Spectaculars following the game. The following day will be the Alfa Insurance Bobblehead giveaway at Riverwalk for another 7:05 start. The bobblehead will be chosen by fans in an online election this off-season. The Biscuits’ opening weekend will continue on Saturday, April 6th with a MAX Fireworks Spectacular following the game including a Girl Scout Camporee where girl scouts are invited to camp out in the outfield at beautiful Riverwalk Stadium. Opening weekend will finish off with the first Bark in the Park day on Sunday, April 7th for a 2:05 afternoon start.

No matter what week it is, fans at Riverwalk Stadium can enjoy the weekly promotional nights starting with Dollar Dog Tuesdays. Regular sized hot dogs are only $1 every Tuesday. Every Wednesday will be Military Wednesday, which allows all military personnel to come to the games for free with a Military I.D. The Biscuits will also have drink and food specials available for all fans.

The weekly promotions at Riverwalk continue each Thursday for Thirsty Thursdays. Drink specials will be available while the Biscuits will also feature post-game concerts six separate nights at the stadium.

Finally, the Biscuits have added Freebie Fridays, the newest addition to the promotions list. On Friday, April 26, the Biscuits will give away eight, 32-inch flat-screen TVs then give away eight more on May 24th and July 26th.

Freebie Fridays continue with two-for-one food nights on July 12th and August 23rd. Hot dogs, burgers, popcorn, sodas and much more are all two-for-one. Friday April 19th and June 7th, kids 12-years-old and under can enjoy a hot dog, ice cream sandwich, and soda for free on Kids-Eat-Free Days. Then Friday May 10th, the Biscuits will give a free hot dog, soda and popcorn for all people 55-years and older for Seniors Eat Free Day to round out the giveaways for Freebie Fridays.

The Biscuits invite kids out to the ballpark every game but especially for the Grand Slam School Days during the morning on April 16th and 29th.

The early games combine education and fun as Montgomery school children arrive to the park in the thousands. The days fuse baseball and education by showing children the importance of education in sports.

On Saturday, April 27th, the Biscuits are bringing a triple-dose of fun.

Montgomery Advertiser Autograph day will start things off where fans can get autographs from all of their favorite Biscuits players on the field before the game. April 27th is also the first Boy Scout Camporee Day where Boy Scouts are invited to stay overnight on the outfield while also enjoying a MAX Fireworks Spectacular after the game.

The promotions also include sponsor-inspired nights including Family Faith Night on June 21st. The Biscuits will hold a pre-game concert presented by Faith Radio, followed by a MAX Fireworks Spectacular after the game. Saturday, June 29th will be the second Montgomery Advertiser Autograph Day followed by a MAX Fireworks Spectacular. Auburn University at Montgomery features the Back-to-School Giveaway on August 2nd.

On Saturday, May 11th, the Biscuits have the chance to honor those who have served and continue to serve the United States in the armed forces with Military Appreciation Night. In honor of their service to our country, all military personnel will get in free.

The Biscuits wrap up their home schedule with Auburn/Alabama Night on Saturday, August 24th presented by WLWI & 95.1 and then Fan Appreciation Night on Tuesday, August 27th, the final home game of the season.
