The City of Columbia (SC) has contacted Minor League Baseball officials about bringing a team to Columbia, if voters approve a penny sales tax in November to help fund the massive Bull Street development project, which could include a new baseball stadium. As you recall, the summer collegiate Columbia Blowfish (Coastal Plain League) are looking for a new home for 2014, after the Capital City Stadium property was sold off to a Walmart developer.
