PRESS RELEASE – Eleven time All Star and seven time Cy Young Award Winner Roger Clemens is scheduled to join the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League. Clemens will be in uniform on Friday August 24, and will make his first start for the Skeeters this Saturday, August 25, at Constellation Field.

Clemens joins the Atlantic League’s Sugar Land Skeeters pitching rotation that already features former major leaguers Scott Kazmir, Tim Redding and Jason Lane.
“Any time you can add a player of Roger’s caliber is extremely exciting,” said Skeeters President Matt O’Brien.
“Our inaugural season has been extremely memorable, and this is just going to add to it.”
Clemens will be available to answer questions from media at Constellation Field at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 21. The press conference will take place in the upper level of the stadium – the Insperity Club.
Limited tickets are still available for Saturdays game and all of the remaining games for the 2012 season. Tickets can be purchased online at sugarlandskeeters.com, by phone at 281-240-4487, or in person at the Sugar Land Skeeters Box Office.
