PRESS RELEASE – Delaware North Companies Sportservice – the food, beverage and retail partner of the Texas Rangers – this week announced the next big menu item making its way to Rangers Ballpark in Arlington: “Totally ROSSome Nachos,” named as a nod to Rangers rookie relief pitcher Robbie Ross.
Served in a full-sized pink Rangers batting helmet, the Totally ROSSome Nachos feature Mission Tortilla Chips; queso blanco; pico de gallo; your choice of shredded beef, pulled pork or pulled chicken; and come topped with Nacho Cheese Doritos. Rangers fans can look for the nachos at the Taqueria stand, located in the centerfield entertainment area of the ballpark, beginning July 23.
“When you are looking for late-inning hunger relief, the Totally ROSSome Nachos will get the job done,” said Casey Rapp, operations manager for Sportservice at the ballpark.
Rapp and the Sportservice team earlier this year introduced the “Boomstick” and later the “Great Bratbino,” a 2-foot-long, 1-pound hot dog and bratwurst, respectively. The Boomstick was named in honor of Rangers slugger Nelson Cruz; the Great Bratbino was introduced as a tip-of-the-cap to Josh Hamilton.
