PRESS RELEASE – The Mobile BayBears, the 2011 Baseball America Team of the Year, has begun a nationwide search for the next General Manager of the franchise. BayBears President/COO Bill Shanahan said, “We are looking for an experienced sports executive with a strong sales background and leadership skills to direct the club.”
The BayBears, an Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate, are a member of the Double-A Southern League of Professional Baseball. The BayBears play their home games at Hank Aaron Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. Within the confines of Hank Aaron Stadium is the Hank Aaron Childhood Home and Museum, recently ranked as one of the top 10 ballpark museums by Ballparkdigest.com
The Mobile BayBears are owned and operated by HWS Baseball, which also includes the Modesto Nuts (California League/Advanced A) and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (New York-Penn League/Short Season A).
