Vancouver’s Storied Baseball History, Stadium

At a cost of $550,000, Capilano Stadium, now known as Scotia Bank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium, opened to a sellout crowd of  7,500, who showed up to watch the Vancouver Capilanos defeat the Salem Senators 10-3 on June 16, 1951.  Read more hereView vintage photos of the Vancouver Mounties here.  Today, the Single-A Vancouver Canadians (Northwest League) are keeping kids interested in the game and the old ballpark with a newly formed Mini League.  Read more here.
