What makes it “historic”?
Many ballplayers hang on to either accumulate pension time, claim dubious records or will work on the cheap – doesn’t make them hall of fame candidates. Same with parks, especially ones that don’t have revenue-generating futures, baseball franchises are businesses.
Didn’t know “historic” equated to the “hall of fame.”
