River Falls Secures Funding for New Ballpark Scoreboard

The River Falls Baseball Council in River Falls (WI), a town of 15,000 located about 30 miles east of Minneapolis-St. Paul (MN), is making progress to raise funds to build a new community ballpark.  In addition to a $50,000 commitment from General Beer Northwest to help build a new Leinie Lodge pavilion equipped with restrooms and concessions, Nash Finch Company and Family Fresh Markets recently committeed $50,000 for a new scoreboard.  Read more here.

The amateur River Falls Fighting Fish will play at the new park.  Still no word if the summer collegiate Northwoods League has had any contact with the organizers.
