River Falls Makes Fundraising Progress for New Park

The River Falls Baseball Council in River Falls (WI), a town of 15,000 located about 30 miles east of Minneapolis-St. Paul (MN), is making progress to raise funds to build a new community ballpark.  General Beer Northwest, a local distributor of Miller and Leinenkugel’s products, has committed $50,000 to help build a new Leinie Lodge pavilion equipped with restrooms and concessions.  The amateur River Falls Fighting Fish will play at the new park.  No word if the summer collegiate Northwoods League has had any contact with the group.  Read more here and here.   Thanks to John Cerone for the story.
