PRESS RELEASE – The Waterloo Bucks, members of the Northwoods League, have announced that 1650 The Fan, Cruisin’ 1250, and 1650thefan.com will be the home to the Bucks Baseball Radio Network in 2012. All of Waterloo’s 70 home and road games will be broadcast live on 1650 AM, 1250 AM, and/or online at 1650thefan.com.
Thirty games will be aired on 1650 The Fan during the summer, while six will air on Cruisin’ 1250. All games, including those not airing on 1650 or 1250, will be aired online at 1650thefan.com.
Along with all 70 regular season Bucks games being aired the media platforms, a pre-game show will be featured on the station before every Bucks contest and will start 20 minutes prior to the opening pitch. Each pre-game show will lead into that day’s game broadcast. In addition to the game broadcasts, 1650 The Fan will air the Bucks’ annual pre-season Media Day broadcast live from 5:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, May 29.
“The Bucks are pleased to team up with 1650 The Fan and Cruisin’ 1250 to broadcast our games this summer,” said Bucks’ General Manager Dan Corbin. “Already the Cedar Valley’s radio home of the Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Twins, these two fine radio stations know their baseball. We’re happy to partner with them and are looking forward bringing the Bucks Baseball Radio Network to the airwaves in a couple of weeks.”
