Duluth to Pursue Grant Funds to Renovate ‘The Wade’

The City of Duluth (MN) didn’t receive any bonding dollars from the state legislature this session to renovate Wade Stadium, home of the summer collegiate Duluth Huskies (Northwoods League), but officials are optimistic about securing a $4 million grant award from the new $47.5-million DEED fund set up for economic development projects.  While this is possible, don’t hold your breath.  Duluth is not alone, as many communities are already jockeying for a piece of this small pie of money.  Read more here.  Thank to John Cerone for the link.
