PRESS RELEASE – Without the support of their fans the St. Paul Saints would not have succeeded for the last 20 years. Since 1993 the Twin Cities community has come out to enjoy good baseball, championship runs, historic moments and humorous promotions. As the Saints enter their 20th season one lucky fan will have an opportunity to attach their name to a night at the ballpark and all it takes is buying a ticket.
On Saturday, March 24 Saints fans can begin purchasing tickets at 10:00 a.m. for all 50 regular season home games. For each ticket a fan purchases their name will be entered into a drawing for an opportunity at numerous prizes including having a night named after them. Additionally, fans can win two Sun Country travel tickets (valued at $500 apiece), a one night stay at Grand Casino Hotel in Hinckley, a one night stay at The Saint Paul Hotel, tickets to Water Park of America and gift certificates to Skinners Pub and Pizza Factory.
The grand prize is another great example of the Saints Be Your Own Fan initiative and the first of many this season. The Saints will re-launch their website in April with an engine designed to tailor the Saints experience to a fans particular interest.
Along with having their name attached to a promotion the winner will receive public address announcements during the game, their name and photo up on the video board, will get to throw out a first pitch, 10 VIP tickets to that night’s game to bring friends and family and Saints signed memorabilia. The winner’s name will even be included in all of the advertising placed to promote that night’s game; for example “Join us for Tammie’s Night with the Saints!”
As in years past there are many different ways Saints fans can purchase tickets: in person at the Saints ticket office, by calling the ticket office at 651-644-6659, visiting saintsbaseball.com, via a Smartphone, iPad or the Saints app which can be found in the app store and Android Marketplace by searching St. Paul Saints.
Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value. Tickets are $5 for general admission, $8 for outfield reserved and $12 for infield reserved. Friday Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks (except July 3 and September 2) are an additional $2 per ticket. Fireworks SuperShows (July 3 and September 2) are an additional $3 per ticket. Tickets purchased on the Day of the Game are an additional $1 per ticket. Children under the age of 12 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price. Children under 2 that don’t require a seat are free.
Saints season ticket packages including the new Be Your Own Fan Flex Plan and specialty seating areas including the Hot Tub, S.S. Porkchop and Sunroom Suite are currently on sale for all 2012 home games.
Beginning March 26, Saints Box Office Hours on non-gamedays are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. On gamedays, the Box Office will open at 9 a.m. Sunday through Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday and will remain open until 15 minutes following each game.
The Saints will hold 20th season celebrations during their three Thursday Night games (May 17, July 5 and August 2) and will draw their 5,000,000th fan on Opening Night, May 17 needing just 927 fans to reach the historic mark.
