It’s ‘Subway Field’ (at Port Arthur Stadium?) for Two More Years

PRESS RELEASE – The Thunder Bay Border Cats are very pleased to announce the signing of a two-year extension of Subway Restaurants as corporate and title sponsor of the Cats home ballpark Subway Field through the 2013 season.

“Subway Restaurants is very proud of our relationship with the Border Cats and is thrilled to extend our naming rights partnership of Subway Field for another two seasons,” stated Lisa-Marie Buccini, Subway Marketing Manager-Western Canada.  “Our brands are both synonymous with community as well as bringing the highest quality services to the people of Thunder Bay,” Buccini added.

Border Cats Owner/President Brad Jorgenson is very excited to extend the agreement that started at the beginning of the 2010 season with the re-naming of Port Arthur Stadium to Subway Field.  “This shows the commitment that both the Border Cats and Subway have of ensuring quality family entertainment with Northwoods League baseball in Thunder Bay,” stated Jorgenson.

The Border Cats, celebrating their 10th anniversary season, play their 2012 home opener at Subway Field on Monday, June 4th, at 7:05 p.m. against the Alexandria Beetles.
