Despite Edmonton’s Departure, Fort McMurray Still On Track for 2013

A few weeks ago, the indy pro Edmonton Capitals decided to withdraw from the North American League and not play in 2012.  This news has not deterred the owners of the proposed new team in Fort McMurray (AB), who still plan to begin play in a new ballpark starting in 2013.  Read more here.

    Right idea. Wrong league. If they can still be called a league.

    As I said before, if they can get another team they could make it a feasible deal for the AA and there were rumors of teams in 4-5 different cities in the past. Kamloops, Saskatoon and the others. Plus Calgary would have to be back in the mix too.

    But I can see Edmonton making another attempt at AAA.
