PRESS RELEASE – The Fort Worth Cats have named Chris Hart as the organization’s new General Manager. Before joining the Cats, Chris spent 10 years with the Texas Rangers Baseball Club in their front office as a Senior Account Executive. During his tenure with the Rangers, he was a part of the team’s first two trips to the World Series, establishing and maintaining relationships between the Rangers and corporate businesses.
“I am tremendously excited about this opportunity with the Cats. It is a historic baseball team that the city of Fort Worth deserves. It is my intent to restore the franchise to the legendary status that it has had in the past. We will definitely provide North Texas with one of the best forms of entertainment available to fans for many summers to come.”
Mike Stone, President of the Fort Worth Cats, stated, “Chris Hart comes to us with a decade of experience in Major League Baseball and an understanding of quality, family entertainment. Hart will be responsible for all marketing and sales, stadium operations, and event management. The Fort Worth Cats are fortunate to retain his experience and talent.”
Hart grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico as a fan of the Albuquerque Dukes, the Triple-A farm team for the Los Angeles Dodgers. The absence of a Major League hometown team gave him the opportunity to build a passion for baseball watching players prepare for the Majors.
He played two years at Otero Junior College in La Junta, CO as a pitcher after graduating from Albuquerque El Dorado High School.
Hart has been married to Jill Ellen Hart for almost 9 years; they have 2 sons- Ryan and Nathan.
