Bulls Unveil Alternate Cap on Pinterest

PRESS RELEASE – The Durham Bulls today announced they will add an alternate cap to their on-field uniform set, unveiling the look on the team’s new Pinterest page. To get an exclusive first glimpse at the new cap, visit http://www.pinterest.com/durhambulls.

Pinterest is a virtual pinboard where users can browse, organize, and share photos or “pins” of things they find interesting. The emerging social network is also known for its popularity among women. In addition to seeing the team’s new alternate hat, followers of the Bulls’ Pinterest page can view pins on seven boards that include “AdoraBULL Apparel,” “Boys of Summer,” and “America’s Favorite Minor League Team.”

Throughout the season, the Bulls’ Pinterest page will be updated with photos of the 2012 team in action, Wool E. Bull appearances, fan interaction, and behind the scenes access to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Also, a “Tickets & Promotions” board will allow Pinterest followers to get the latest on new packages and offers from the Bulls.

“We’re excited to bring the Durham Bulls brand to the growing world of Pinterest,” said General Manager Mike Birling. “It’s another great way to actively engage the community- especially our female fans.”

The alternate hat, which will be primarily worn with the Bulls’ navy alternate jersey, will be available to purchase at Fan Fest 2012, taking place March 2nd and 3rd at the DBAP. Fans can also buy the new cap by directly linking to the Bulls online team store through their Pinterest page.

The Durham Bulls open 2012 International League play at home on Thursday, April 5th when they host the Gwinnett Braves. Season ticket and mini-plan packages are now available at durhambulls.com or by calling 919.956.BULL.
